The title of this post has a few meanings. I am starting over with this blog. I am bad and forget to post... a lot. I know. I am sorry. But in a sense its a good thing because now I can start over.<br />
<br />
I am starting over. In a lot of things. Life has changed. Far more than I ever thought it would. See over 7 years ago I met the love of my life, J. He was and still is insanely important to me and I was then and still am madly in love with him. That all being said, just because someone is in love it doesn't mean that things will work out. That's the case for J and I. See as hard as I tried, our relationship was not as strong as everyone thought it might be. So as much as I tried to fight for us, it was not successful. J and I are splitting up. Its heartbreaking but it is life. For a while I felt bad for myself but then I realized that I needed to be strong and move forward, to start over, so that is what I am doing.<br />
<br />
Baby A and I are going to relocate somewhere. Where, I am not yet sure. But the thing is I have so many possibilities. Its exhilarating to have possibilities and hope everywhere. See A and I can go anywhere and do anything. Its an amazing feeling. I am ready and excited for the challenge.<br />
<br />
It isn't easy. Shoot I wish it was. It isn't something that I thought I would be doing, but if I am going to do it, well then I am going to rock it. That's how I see it.<br />
<br />
So the direction of this blog is changing. No longer is it about a young couple in love. Instead this blog is about a determined and focused woman, single mom, moving forward in life. I am not even sure if anyone even reads this (I wouldn't blame them if they didn't seeing as how I am not consistent in posting) but if you do, I am excited for this journey and to be able to share it.<br />
<br />
Hope all is well.<br />
<br />

Had to lower the crib because someone pulls herself up on everything.</div>

We had professional pictures done. Our photographer was amazing!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is A's baptism dress. She never smiles for professional pictures.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She is cruising along all the furniture and it won't be long before she starts walking on her own. She has a new big girl car seat too! She babbles words. The recognizable ones are mama, dada and pop pop (what she calls Bentley).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Favorite things - eating whatever Mommy and Daddy have, Bentley and Atlas, walking everywhere and crawling when she can't, the pool and bathtime, and playing with all her toys.</div>

No bueno. I promise to get better at not doing that. <br />
<br />
Anyway an update on us. A lot has been going on. First we have been in Delaware for 5 months now. We are really starting to like it. We live in an area with not a lot going on but we are close to a lot of things so that is good. We love our house which at one point I will post pictures of (if I can ever get pictures without toys in them). And ready for the random part, Jack and I are actually working on our yard. I know it surprises people. We are not big on dealing with the yard but here we had no choice. It was dead and looked horrible. So we decided to do something about it. We put down seed and have been watering it daily. Now it isn't as nice as the neighbor's yard but at least we now have grass. haha.<br />
<br />
Jack and I are both liking our jobs and doing well. A loves her nanny and we adore her as well. So all in all it is a good thing.<br />
<br />
Baby A is getting so big. We are actually starting to plan her 1st birthday party. Hard to believe it but she is already 9 months old. Its crazy. I will write another post with an update just about A. She is pretty darn cute (I may or may not be biased). haha.<br />
<br />
Anyway I promise to get back to this. I feel like I say that a lot, but this time I am sticking to it. I am writing it in my calendar. haha.<br />
<br />
Hope all is well with everyone.<br />
<br />
XoXo<br />

I'll give you a quick run down. I'll make a 10 on Saturday list. haha.<br /><br />1. It is illegal to talk on your phone and drive, or text and drive. This is no bueno for me. I am always talking on the phone while driving. That is an adjustment.<br /><br />2. Apparently there are no Bank of Americas anywhere close. That has proven to be interesting.<br /><br />3. We are the only Marine family in base housing. That being said we are also the only people that buy the Marine Corps Times. Its fun to pick it up and watch people look at you like you're crazy.<br /><br />4. There is a ridiculously amazing dog park at the end of our street. We have found it a great place to meet people.<br /><br />5. Base housing is awesome. The rest of the base leaves a lot to be desired. It seems like the Air Force likes to put money into the housing more.<br /><br />6. We are moto. We always knew this but it is amplified more on an Air Force base.<br /><br />7. We are learning a ton about the Air Force here. It is interesting.<br /><br />8. There is a ridiculously long and dangerous bridge that we had to cross to get here and to go to DC. Jack and I were both scared, not going to lie.<br /><br />9. It gets cold here. We were so not used to that.<br /><br />10. Aubrey has gotten some rosey cheeks since being here. Adorable. Here she is in her Bumbo being all cute.<br /><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcoqwZch3mAYIOVEmHMs9C1h7HQoAx9TPfEBdDvcdFFPGW-3iwoNgBTqKMi6yk_RP_6p5LO0QtvwjzCWUyr2XzTDKyqZJDoCjRGugeXfVIVtuGOgWsm8ZQOiKgMXpErQ_UbIzzW8-cFyJz/s1600/001.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5721029897535265090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcoqwZch3mAYIOVEmHMs9C1h7HQoAx9TPfEBdDvcdFFPGW-3iwoNgBTqKMi6yk_RP_6p5LO0QtvwjzCWUyr2XzTDKyqZJDoCjRGugeXfVIVtuGOgWsm8ZQOiKgMXpErQ_UbIzzW8-cFyJz/s320/001.JPG" /></a></p><p> </p><p>Hope all is well with everyone!</p><p> </p><p>JMS - ilu</p><p>XoXo</p><p>Amanda</p>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-12502019863451842392012-02-27T17:41:00.002-05:002012-02-27T17:46:21.033-05:00packing up..Well we are just about ready to leave Florida. In just 2 days we start the drive north to Delaware. We are getting more excited as it draws closer.<br /><br />Not sure if I shared this but Jack decided last week that we would be able to do the move ourselves. So instead of the military coming to pack up our belongings we have done it ourselves. Or should I say I have done it. I found out on Wednesday that we were going to do things ourselves. Jack rented a Uhaul and I have packed our entire house in just 5 days time.<br /><br />Tomorrow we pick up the truck and load it. I have to clean out the fridge and vacumn the floors but other than that we are as ready as we can be. Jack plans to drive the uhaul and I will take the Prius.<br /><br />Bentley is going on vacation for a week with our amazing babysitter. He is going to drive up our other car and Bentley and meet us in DC in a weeks time. We are quite excited about this.<br /><br />So yeah the journey begins in 2 days. Wish us luck.<br /><br />Hope all is well with everyone!!<br /><br />JMS- ilu<br /><br />XoXo<br />AmandaAmandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-50144620759306363622012-02-18T10:32:00.002-05:002012-02-18T10:37:54.061-05:004 MonthsSo Baby A is almost 4 months! Crazy huh! She will be 4 months old on the 24th.<br /><br />We went to the doctor for her 4 month checkup. Little miss is according to her doctor "perfect". We couldn't agree more.<br /><br />She is now 11 lbs and 7 ozs and 24 inches long. She is in the 10th percentile for weight and the 50th for height. I see lots of dresses in her future. Her pants don't exactly fit. They are too short. So dresses it is.<br /><br />Daddy was not the best when she had to get shots. Baby A took it like a champ. Daddy on the other hand couldn't even watch. He doesn't like seeing A cry and of course she cried when she got her shots.<br /><br />We are still in the process of getting the move organized. But I wanted to give a quick update on our little peanut.<br /><br />Hope all is well with everyone!<br /><br />JMS - ilu<br /><br />XoXo<br />AmandaAmandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-65923849118739437112012-02-14T16:25:00.002-05:002012-02-14T16:30:29.590-05:0010 on..Ten on Tuesday!!<br /><br />1. I have an amazing husband. Seriously. He is handling our move. Its enough to make me want to pull my hair out. He is doing it calmly and with such attention to detail. I <3 it!<br /><br />2. Bentley is in for a rude awakening when we move. Hopefully our little crazy man likes cold.<br /><br />3. Baby A is getting so big. She smiles and talks and rolls. She makes us smile so much.<br /><br />4. Baby A also likes to talk at 4 am. Although we enjoy her talking 4 am is not exactly the best time.<br /><br />5. I got Jack underarmour for Valentines Day. Not exactly romantic but useful. He got me the same thing. I love it. We may be geeks but thats okay.<br /><br />6. Today is my parents 36th wedding anniversary. Crazy huh? Happy Anniversary to them.<br /><br />7. We have entirely way to much stuff. Yeah for the military packing and moving it for us.<br /><br />8. Yeah for owning a Prius. My trip north will be so much cheaper because of it.<br /><br />9. Finding daycare for my child is proving to be difficult. I am not sure I trust just anyone. Ugh.<br /><br />10. We are ready for our Delaware adventure! Lets hope Delaware is ready for us!!Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-83795415358703640832012-02-14T16:09:00.002-05:002012-02-14T16:25:20.664-05:00Well...I fully get that I stink at updating. I know this. But in my defense we have been pretty busy. But still I should have taken some time to update. I know this.<br /><br />Anyway we have big news. That seems to be the trend with me. I don't blog for a bit and then come back with big news. Apparently that works for me.<br /><br />Anyway I have been super busy because of this big news. See planning a move that is a 16 hour drive away takes time. Thats right, we are moving. To Delaware! Delawhat you may ask. Delaware. Crazy I know. What may you ask is in Delaware. The answer to that is that I am not yet sure. I know that Jack got orders to the air force base there. I know that my job is super amazing and doesn't care where I live so that works. But other than that we have no clue.<br /><br />We are busy preparing for our move. I have an amazing husband that has handled most of it. I am working on preparing to move my office to another state. My counterpart at my job has decided to leave the company. This has increased my workload but thats okay. I have a super amazing boss who is supportive and helpful. She is doing a lot of my traveling for me. I am blessed to have this job and such a great boss.<br /><br />So we still have a ton to do. But we have got some things handled. Just a small sampling of our list is:<br />Find a house - Done! Thankfully<br />Contact Moving companies - Done - Thank you military<br />Get a hitch for our truck - done<br />Rent a trailer - done<br />Decide what we are taking with us<br />Pack said stuff in the trailer<br />Buy warmer clothes for all of us<br />Try Bentley's coat on - if it doesn't fit we are going to need to work on that<br />Drive 16 hours with a 4 month old and a crazy Chihuahua. Should be fun.<br /><br />So yeah that just a small sampling of the things we have to do. I did find a church and working on getting A's baptism arranged. She has a beautiful dress thanks to my sister.<br /><br />Other than that we are working on getting stuff done and saying good bye for now to our friends.<br /><br />Any moving advice would be greatly appreciated!<br /><br />Hope all is well with everyone!<br /><br />JMS- ilu!!<br /><br />XoXo<br />AmandaAmandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-28543761633413844202012-01-09T21:10:00.002-05:002012-01-09T21:17:51.122-05:00Ten on....So I need to update more. That is obvious. I knew I wouldn't be able to on Tuesday so you are getting a 10 on Monday post. haha.<br /><br />1. Work is crazy busy. It keeps me distracted.<br /><br />2. I learned that advertising on a Spanish radio station brings great success where I am. Pretty excited about that.<br /><br />3. Jack is amazing. He does whatever I put on our to-do list so that by the time the weekend comes I have hardly anything to do. I love it.<br /><br />4. I feel like Baby A grows while I am at work during the day. No bueno.<br /><br />5. Bentley is insane. He teases the dogs across the hall. I feel bad for them.<br /><br />6. Jack and I are going to Universal with some friends in 2 weeks. Super excited. Thank you to our awesome neighbor who is giving us tickets. Hopefully Bentley stops annoying her dogs.<br /><br />7. I met an older gentleman at church that went to the same college I did. It made me smile.<br /><br />8. I really need to get on planning A's baptism. Next post I need to have something done for that. If I don't please feel free to call me out on it.<br /><br />9. My office is next to the shadiest gas station ever. No lie. The place sells male enhancement pills which it advertises on the door and places next to the Dr. Pepper. Its weird. They also have a whole case of supposed tobacco pipes. Pretty sure that they aren't "for tobaco only" as the sign says.<br /><br />10. I am done getting tickets of any kind. Apparently running a toll in FL will cost a whole lot more than the toll. I bought a second e-pass. Not paying an additional $205 because I was dumb and forgot to look what car the e-pass is in ever again.<br /><br />Hope everyone has a great week.<br /><br />JMS- super proud of you. ilu!!<br /><br />XoXo<br />AmandaAmandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-21482741694801850822012-01-07T20:06:00.002-05:002012-01-07T20:11:36.158-05:002012So I didn't do a post with pictures to review last year, I will at some point. But I figured I should talk a little bit about 2012 and whats in store for us. We have some goals as a family and I have some goals personally.<br />So my 2012 goals ( I don't like the term resolutions) are as follows.<br /><br />- Be the best mom, wife, friend I can be. Pretty sure that one is self explainatory but I strive to do this all the time.<br /><br />- Learn Spanish - this is a necessitity. I need it for work and I am realizing this more and more each day. Time to stop saying I will learn and actually do it.<br /><br />- See Jack get his bachelors. He is so close. This year he will finish school. I couldn't be more proud of him.<br /><br />- Travel to Buffalo to snuggle my new nephew, little man. Already have that one planned out.<br /><br />- Save more money. Jack and I are really working on this one. We, while I, have become really into planning our budgets and finances. I have realized we really need to work on our savings and retirement funds. So in 2012 that is what we will be doing.<br /><br />So yeah that is our 2012 goals. We are hoping to accomplish them. My life list is slowly getting accomplished. A little more each day.<br /><br />Hope 2012 is a good year for everyone.<br /><br />J- ilu<br /><br />XoXo<br />AmandaAmandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-47976682330785202042012-01-07T19:34:00.003-05:002012-01-07T19:48:47.806-05:00....I know it has been a bit since I last posted. A lot has happened. I went back to work and have been insanely busy. We also said goodbye to someone that we love dearly. .<br /><br />Our goddaughter Addie is an angel now and it saddens Jack and I deeply. She was a light in our lives. So happy and bright and beautiful. Unfortunately in mid December Addie became an angel. She went to be with the Lord. She did save 3 others before she left us in this life. She is now living another life with God. And I know that someday Jack and I will see her again. That gives us a bit of comfort, that and the fact that Aubrey was lucky enough to meet her before she passed. At 16 months old Addie was an inspiration and light for so many. I know I was honored to have known and loved her for as long as we did.<br /><br />As much I as I say all this, it doesn't make her going to be with God any easier. It doesn't make us any less sad. The tears flow at times when I think no one is around. I try to stay strong for our friends but I won't say its easy. I will say though that I will do what I can to help our friends through this and my husband.<br /><br />I don't know that anyone knows what to say when God brings such a little angel home. I think that are no words for that. Only prayers and thoughts of comfort. Thats all I can think to do.<br /><br />It does remind me to tell those I love that I love them often. You can't say it enough. I ask myself did I tell Addie I loved her enough, did she know. I know she did but I can't help but think if I could have only told her one more time. I also think its important to let your friends know that you are there for whatever they need, even if thats just sitting in silence. Jack and I have tried to be the best friends we could be through everything. I hope we have been able to bring some comfort.<br /><br />Tonight I was saddened to learn of the passing of a dear friend's mother. I am hoping and praying that our friends will be able to find comfort in the times ahead. I feel like there has been enough hardship for now and am looking forward to better times. They have to be coming right?<br /><br />I promise to work on updating this blog more. Baby A is growing and doing so much. I will post happy posts again soon.<br /><br />I hope all is well with everyone.<br /><br />JMS- ironman again! So proud of you!<br /><br />XoXo<br />AmandaAmandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-2784064285690413892011-11-16T19:53:00.004-05:002011-11-16T20:17:56.528-05:00Almost done!!<div align="left">This deployment is almost over. I had to post and add my comments. </div><div> </div><div>1. Your Cell phone is always in view. - Absolutely. And always on the loudest ring tone and every messaging service is forwarded to it. </div><div> </div><div>2. You are an expert in the culinary field of which baked goods have the longest staying power. - I know how to pack cookies to make them last and I have about 10 recipes for cake in a jar.</div><div> </div><div>3. You've mastered the smile and nod technique after countless dinners with his military buddies where the only time they involve you in the conversation is to ask how the kids are doing or how your job is. - This one is not so much true. Jack's military friends talk to me and involve me in a lot of conversations. </div><div> </div><div>4. At one point or another you have made a list of things to tell your sweetie next time he calls during deployment. - Absolutely! I have those lists all the time.</div><div> </div><div>5. You know the difference from an APO and a FOB. - Yep sure do!</div><div> </div><div>6. Your home looks like it is decorated for 4th of July year round. - I admit we are moto. So yes this is true.</div><div> </div><div>7. If your state doesn't sell alcohol on Sunday you don't worry because you can always get it from the PX. - We don't really drink so this one doesn't matter much to us.</div><div> </div><div>8. You don't think twice looking at military time format. - Yup. I tend to use military time more.</div><div> </div><div>9. Your neighbors think you are cheating on your guy with the mailman because you get so excited to see him. - Haha. This is more like the UPS guy at our house. I see him more than most people. And usually it is stuff Jack has sent. The UPS guy even knows the dog's name.</div><div> </div><div>10. You find comfort knowing you can overpack for vacation since your man is used to carrying a much heavier rucksack around in hell-like temperatures. - Not so much here seeing as how I usually carry my own bags. But sometimes.</div><div> </div><div>11. You can't watch Dear John without crying at least 5 times. - Yep! And any other show or movie that has Marines in it. Or the Veteran's Day commericials. I pretty much cry a lot.</div><div> </div><div>12. The people at the post office know you by first name. - Yep. They sure do. </div><div> </div><div>13. You have the urge to every single man or woman you see in uniform. - Not really but sometimes. </div><div> </div><div>14. You wish they made cuter military bumper stickers so you could brag to the driver incessantly tailgating you during rush hour. - Not so much. One of our cars is moto, the other isn't. I am okay with that.</div><div> </div><div>15. Hearing your girlfriend complain about her significant other leaving for the weekend makes you want to shake her uncontrollably (with love of course). - Yup! I get that missing your significant other is hard, no matter how long it is, but sometimes I wish people would remember who they are talking to and that some people may be missing their significant other for a lot longer.</div><div> </div><div>16. You understand the importance of physical fitness. Mostly because your man will be a cranky mess if you don't have time to hit the gym. - Not really on this one. Jack supports me no matter what. But I am a cranky mess if I don't excercise.</div><div> </div><div>17. You don't think twice about going to family dinner (with his family) if he is not around. - With some parts of his family -yes. I think I see them more than he does.</div><div> </div><div>18. Hello Homecoming! You know exactly which one of your coats you look the thinnest in and have shopped one-too-many times for accessories to go with it. - Absolutely! I have planned my homecoming outfit from the day he left. haha.</div><div> </div><div>19. You can tell whether he is having a good day or bad day by the way he says hello on the phone. - Yup! I think pretty much anyone can with their signifcant other, regardless of what job they do.</div><div> </div><div>20. You can proudly say you are a better woman because of your military man. - Yes. But not because he is in the military. He inspires me. I think everyone should be with someone that inspires them to be a better person, but thats just me.</div><div> </div><div>Okay... so what would you add? This list was published online. I know there are some I don't agree with, as I stated. And some I do agree with.</div><div> </div><div>I want to take a moment to say Happy Veteran's Day to all those who have sacrificed and continue to do so, so that we may live in freedom. Remember that we live in the land of the free because of the brave. And please remember those who stand behind those who serve, the families that wait at home. Be thankful and remember these brave men and women always, not just one day a year.</div><div> </div><div>"Let us not mourn the men who died, but let us thank God that such men lived!"</div><div> </div><div>JMS- we are so proud of you and we love our veteran.</div><div> </div><div>XoXo</div><div>Amanda</div><div> </div><div>And Baby A too!</div>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-75795339084596561202011-11-10T17:53:00.004-05:002011-11-10T19:09:01.689-05:00She's Official<div>Yep you read that right. Baby A is official. We got her birth certificate and social security card. And her umbilical cord is gone. Our little princess is all official.</div><div>She is really a good little baby. She loves her bathes and I am pretty sure last night she laughed at me. It made me smile so big. I can't wait until her Daddy is home to hear her sweet little giggles. Right now she is enjoying some turtle time as we call it. Basically she is napping in her pack n play which has a turtle mobile on it. haha.</div><div>Here are the pictures of the day.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Day 15 - Monday November 7th 2011</div><div style="text-align: center;">Naked Baby playing on the couch</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtREZwa0vKNRb7ZlyTCdMkKbF5Fjl2ngeHoY0eQ1VL-qJkAjc7YSIp_8cvru9GwiLJApu0IUm8psxkqgkMB_ElaxOSz6M3aY7y8BcROMrh-toyALW5GhzEA2CfQ6W9yCwO5jfXgFLNcdSU/s1600/001.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 240px; height: 320px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5673521008732818482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtREZwa0vKNRb7ZlyTCdMkKbF5Fjl2ngeHoY0eQ1VL-qJkAjc7YSIp_8cvru9GwiLJApu0IUm8psxkqgkMB_ElaxOSz6M3aY7y8BcROMrh-toyALW5GhzEA2CfQ6W9yCwO5jfXgFLNcdSU/s320/001.JPG" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">2 pictures for Day 15 - cause she is too cute</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiapwOMD10431ux3G0zKuoOOOXAnOb9XKMzeH71Zt-uLxOachd-cOec3kdf80cUl2vWIvtSKG6Ghb-qMPfclgeVxBrLOeXMvPIZ5_QC-Yg5C44xrdpA2SVrtI0o0EO-IrAdwvQvS00GhQKJ/s1600/002.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5673521001392140322" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiapwOMD10431ux3G0zKuoOOOXAnOb9XKMzeH71Zt-uLxOachd-cOec3kdf80cUl2vWIvtSKG6Ghb-qMPfclgeVxBrLOeXMvPIZ5_QC-Yg5C44xrdpA2SVrtI0o0EO-IrAdwvQvS00GhQKJ/s320/002.JPG" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Day 16 - Tuesday November 8th 2011</div></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">Going for a walk with Mommy</div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipdmw_ZYtQuIHGmsnuDa622Fr7IuozPEuVBqDC9G8B_mpsSPYY63FocAkWTLW7WqyTsJsDKRwEDAmrwq7LqbrDGR6K5Ylb4oA3eoeW2XTpSi7FYYhXrUyD9xao9oxK6FncqgbZu5EJFj7Q/s1600/003.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 240px; height: 320px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5673505186901974898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipdmw_ZYtQuIHGmsnuDa622Fr7IuozPEuVBqDC9G8B_mpsSPYY63FocAkWTLW7WqyTsJsDKRwEDAmrwq7LqbrDGR6K5Ylb4oA3eoeW2XTpSi7FYYhXrUyD9xao9oxK6FncqgbZu5EJFj7Q/s320/003.JPG" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Day 17 - Wednesday November 9th 2011</div></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">Trying out her bouncer. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and absolutely love our family.</div><div> </div><div>Her current obsession is not being put down during the day and I will admit I indulge her. It makes it a little difficult to get anything done (this post took close to 2 hours) but thats okay. I am oretty sure that she misses Daddy but not too much longer till he is home for good. According to the donut of misery we have 88.4 % of this thing done. Only 11.6% more. I will take that.</div><div> </div><div>JMS - we miss you!! I love you. Not much longer.</div><div> </div><div>XoXo</div><div>Amanda and Baby A too.<br /></div><div><div> </div></div>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-1226608901058397502011-11-02T13:18:00.003-04:002011-11-02T13:41:57.742-04:00Thankful<div>So Thanksgiving is this month. Its a day to think of all you are thankful for. I think you should be thankful all year round. Seeing as how Thanksgiving is the 24th day of the month I am going to make a list of 24 things I am thankful for. I will also be updating pictures of the day starting with today soon. Daddy went back to deployment so we need to track how big Baby A is getting while Daddy is away.</div><div> </div><div>Okay on to the thankful list.</div><div>1. I am thankful for my beautiful baby girl. She is an absolute blessing and I can not even begin to tell you how amazing she is.</div><div>2. I am thankful for my amazing husband. He is so supportive and such an amazing Daddy. Aubrey and I are so lucky.</div><div>3. I am thankful for my crazy dog Bentley who never fails to make me laugh. He is such a good big brother and loves Baby A so much.</div><div>4. Even though I complain about him I am thankful for my silly cat who always knows when I need a snuggle.</div><div>5. Jack and I are incredibly thankful for my supportive and knowledgable doctors who were able to guide us through pregnancy and allow us to realize our dream of becoming parents.</div><div>6. I am thankful for the US Army who sent my husband home for the birth of our daughter. I could not thank those responsible enough.</div><div>7. I am thankful for the Marine Corps who not only employs my husband but protects us all and whose men and women sacrifice so much for us all.</div><div>8. I am thankful for my community of Marine wives whose thoughts and prayers and overwhelming support has been absolutely amazing. </div><div>9. I am thankful for my amazing friend Lacey who is there no matter what and loves my family as much as I do. </div><div>10. I am thankful for my best friend Dawn who even though she is far away, has been the best support system anyone could ask for. Just having her to listen has gotten me through so much. </div><div>11. I am thankful for our friends Adam and Morgan who are there for us no matter what and think nothing of including us in everything. We are so blessed to have them in our lives.</div><div>12. I am thankful for the Fisher Price Snug a Bunny swing that Aubrey loves so much. Without I am sure I would get no sleep.</div><div>13. I am thankful for Southwest Airlines who when presented with a nervous and tired Dad to be made it possible for him to be home on time for his daughter's birth. </div><div>14. I am thankful for soothie pacifers. Those things are a godsend.</div><div>15. I am thankful for Skype that allows me to see my family from far away and for them to see Baby A.</div><div>16. I am thankful for Carters who sends lots of coupons so that I can make sure Baby A is outfited in style. haha</div><div>17. I am thankful for retractable leashes. It gives Bentley the freedom he needs and I don't have to walk through the mud and grass.</div><div>18. I am thankful for my job and boss who have been so supportive of me and everything.</div><div>19. I am thankful to be able to plan a homecoming this month. It is by far my favorite part of the deployment.</div><div>20. I am thankful for the random stranger at the airport yesterday who saw a new mom that needed a hug and provided that. Whoever she is, thank you. I don't think she knew how much that was appreciated.</div><div>21. I am thankful for my camera that will allow me to document my daughter's growth and that is durable beyond belief. No matter how many times I drop that thing it keeps working. Thank you Sony for making a great product.</div><div>22. I am thankful for my health. I know I have health issues but I am still functioning and breathing and was able to have a beautiful baby. I will take that anyday.</div><div>23. I am thankful for my dvr that lets me watch whatever I want whenever I have time. Incredibly good seeing as how my nights are now controlled by a little person.</div><div>24. I am thankful for all the opportunity that I have and continue to have.</div><div> </div><div>I have so much to be thankful for this month and always. </div><div> </div><div>Hopefully so does everyone else.</div><div> </div><div>JMS - we miss you so much and we love you. You are our hero.</div><div> </div><div>XoXo</div><div>Amanda and Baby A</div>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-43823071063224845162011-10-29T20:49:00.005-04:002011-10-29T21:11:20.151-04:00Introducing....<div>Aubrey Maybach!</div><div> </div><div>Our beautiful little girl made her appearance on Monday October 24th at 10:15 am. She lets us sleep for about 5 hours at a time. She did though lose a little weight so we are working on that. She has though been so much more than we expected. </div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>We are a little sad that Daddy has to go back on deployment for a little bit but Aubrey and I can handle it. We are already planning an outfit for Daddy's return. Aubrey or baby Aubley as Jaden calls her, is such a Daddy's girl. She loves Jack and her eyes open wide everytime she hears or sees him. It is the sweetest thing.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>I promise to update more as I get a chance. I was slightly occupied the past little bit though. I will update with the story of Jack coming home. It was interesting.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>I hope all is well with everyone.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>JMS - I am so proud of you and feel so blessed to share this experience with you. ilu and A does too.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>XoXo</div><div>Amanda</div></div>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-32644631668897276932011-10-11T20:15:00.004-04:002011-10-11T20:22:21.868-04:0010 on Tuesday<div>I am updating on Tuesday 2 weeks in a row. Go me. Now don't count on this happening all the time, especially after Baby A comes but for now I am going with it.</div><div> </div><div>1. We are 76% done with this deployment. Yep less than 1/4 left. Yeah!!</div><div> </div><div>2. Bentley apparently enjoys barking at everyone. Bribing him with toys and bones has become common place so I can work.</div><div> </div><div>3. My neighbor Lacey is nothing short of amazing. Her friendship is such a blessing. She has offered to do my grocery shopping for me and watch Bentley so I can sleep. I love that girl.</div><div> </div><div>4. Baby A will be here soon. I feel like it is an answer to our prayers and I can't wait to see her little face.</div><div> </div><div>5. That being said, Baby A does need to wait. At least until my birthday. I need people here to at least get me to the hospital. So hold on little on.</div><div> </div><div>6. Our cat Kobe has finally learned how to fight back to Bentley. He should have learned this a long time ago. Bentley deserves some of the swats he gets. He torments that poor cat.</div><div> </div><div>7. I feel like I spend a lot of time at the dr's office. I am looking forward to not having to go there every week in a little bit.</div><div> </div><div>8. I am trying to wrap things up with work. Hopefully I can get everything done but I keep getting projects added. </div><div> </div><div>9. I have literally one more weekend before my out of town guests, aka my parents, come. Lets hope I can get everything done.</div><div> </div><div>10. I truly don't think I can live without my dvr. I fall asleep everynight around 7-8:30 or so and I need to watch Jeopardy. So thank you dvr for allowing me to continue with that habit.</div><div> </div><div>So that was my quick update. Hope all is well with everyone.</div><div> </div><div>JMS - so proud of you. Ilu</div><div> </div><div>XoXo</div><div>Amanda</div>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-69147234431616946362011-10-09T21:07:00.007-04:002011-10-09T21:28:07.879-04:00Woah.....<div>So I have 2 weeks to go until Baby A is here... give or take. Well not exactly. I mean if she isn't here in 2 weeks, she is coming that day. How crazy is that? After waiting and praying for so long, now we are so close. I can say that Jack and I are completely ready. We have everything she could need. And she is spoiled. But thats okay. Her Daddy and I waited a long time for her so we are completely okay with spoiling her.</div><div> </div><div>Okay now to update the pictures of the day.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div align="center">Day 102 - Sunday October 2nd</div><div align="center">My birthday man and me! I know for a bit I might be a little busy as updating so I figure while I can I should update.</div><div> </div><div>1. I <3 the show Biggest Loser. Its on right now and I love it. Amazing.</div><div> </div><div>2. Bentley is afraid of Halloween decorations. It cracks me up. The neighbors put out a pumpkin door mat and Bentley barks at it. He sure is a big bad watch dog. haha</div><div> </div><div>3. Our new couch is being delivered tomorrow!!! Jack found it and bought it online.</div><div> </div><div>4. Baby A is on her way. I am actually in process to give birth now. Holy Wow. Who would have thought that our dream for so long is so close to coming true.</div><div> </div><div>5. Jack is coming home sooner than we first thought. I am not going to lie but I am ridiculously excited about that.</div><div> </div><div>6. I feel like A has already taken over our house. There is baby stuff in every room.</div><div> </div><div>7. I get to see my parents on my birthday for the first time in 8 years!</div><div> </div><div>8. I actually made a meal plan for October and November. So far I have been sticking to it. Woo Hoo!</div><div> </div><div>9. I would not survive with out my dvr. I can't stay awake for longer than 4 hours at a time anymore.. unless of course it is 2am and then I can't sleep at all.</div><div> </div><div>10. I am ridiculously proud of my little man who has been so good and actually mellowing out. Apparently he was waiting till he turned 2 to become a good dog. He has been such a snuggly, well behaved dog. I am beyond happy.</div><div> </div><div>Okay.. That was our quick update.</div><div> </div><div>JMS- we miss you. Can't wait till you are home with us! Not much longer now.</div><div>ilu.</div><div> </div><div>XoXo</div><div>Amanda</div>Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05851674636020783549noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8346658154647214741.post-23151616763682306322011-10-01T18:20:00.005-04:002011-10-01T18:43:40.683-04:00Its October!!!!<div><div>So it is finally October! The UPS man has been here pretty much everyday with 2 more boxes expected on Monday. After that we will have everything we need and want for Baby A. Which is a good thing because my doctor let me know that she is "locked and loaded" and it could be any day now. I am hoping she holds out another 30 days, but who knows. Apparently Baby A has her own agenda. With Jack and I as parents I shouldn't have expected anything less. haha.</div><div><br /></div><div>The donut puts us at 2 different numbers (for two different dates). We are either 58.8% done (our latest date) or 68.5% (the earliest date). I would love to go with the earliest date, of course. But either way we are moving along.</div><div><br /></div><div>Okay now on to the pictures. You will notice Little Man has resurfaced in a lot of pictures. Having him gone for the summer was tough. It is a little over a month till Baby A gets here. Little man is home and causing trouble and we are all ready for Baby A to come. Jack should be back soon.
